BibleThe Bible is the only source of God's Word. It is the only book you can find the way to salvation in. We cannot afford anything but the truth when it comes to salvation. Search the scriptures. You will find within it's holy pages the way to find God, salvation, and peace!
2 Timothy 2:15
15Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
BaptismWater baptism, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, is an essential part of salvation Acts 22:16 states, "Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord" Our sins are washed away in the waters of baptism.

CommandmentsGalatians 5:14
14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Revelation 22:14
14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. |
Holy GhostThe Holy Ghost is the comforter that Jesus spoke of in John 14. Jesus' church which he purchased with this own blood (Acts 20:28) started on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). On this day many received the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in a language they had not learned. The same experience is available today for any person who wishes to draw close to God. Romans 8:9 says, 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

FaithThe absolute foundation stone you must lay for salvation is faith. You must have faith to come to God.
Hebrews 11:1
1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. |
PrayerWhat is Prayer? Prayer is communicating (talking) with God.
Matthew 6:5-8 5And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. |
RepentanceRepentance was taught throughout the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. Repentance means not only feeling sorry for your sins but making an about face, having a change of heart and mind, and asking God to forgive you.
II Peter 3:9
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
SalvationSAVED - comes from the Greek word SOZO meaning save, deliver, protect, heal and preserve. Webster stated that in religion, it means to deliver a person or soul from sin and punishment; redeem from spiritual death.
